7/10/11 Exhaustion means tiny post for you

Salida to Pueblo

I have to admit, this was three days ago, so this is a little tricky. As far as I can remember, the hundred mile day goes a little something like this:

Hills, wind, heat, freezing cold hail storm, want to die, sight a baby black bear, fix flat, fight with man at front desk of hotel, eat, sleep.

Pueblo is busy and ugly. We're out of here without a look back.

P.S. Finished the Rockies. I am the boss.

  1. You ARE totally boss. You have conquered the mighty Rockies, and have survived the Mail-Order Hub Of The Universe (Pueblo, CO). Now you will be rewarded with... (drumroll and brass fanfare, please)... KANSAS. Miles, and miles of Kansas. Miles, and miles, and miles... Remember, there's no place like home, and it's NO place like home.
